Judge: Mr. Pistorius you are still under oath.
Nel: My lady, OP if we deal with the scene of the 13 February, there was only 2 people in the house?
OP: That is correct, my lady.
Nel: The one person was killed, so you are the only other person?
OP: That is correct, my lady.
Nel: We at least have "whatsapp" that she wrote?
Nel: How you describe your relationship in January and February?
OP: I would describe our relationship as good as in the early stages. We were still opening up to each other and trust each other more and more.
Nel: End of January and beginning of February, there were arguments relating to you, what is important to you.
OP: I think our relationship got stronger. We did had arguments, my lady.
Nel: Apart from "boo" and "baba", you never wrote her a long response?
OP: I was on my phone a lot during the day, I preferred to discuss things with her or phone her.
Nel: We did a search on all the messages, the phrase "I Love You", only appear on her phone twice. Both to her mother never to you.
OP: That is right, I never got the chance to tell her.
Nel: Will you agree that the arguments were about you, what you wanted?
OP: There were things that were important to me. The arguments that have been read our in court, I will take responsibility to those.
Nel: I have also gone through your evidence, it is all about Oscar, you didn't want to get into trouble.
Nel: You started off with an apology?
OP: That is right, I apologised to the Steenkamp family and to her friends for the sorrow that I have caused.
Nel: Did you feel better afterwards?
OP: I don't think I will ever fell better. I haven't had the opportunity to meet the Steenkamps, I don't think they are ready.
OP: I don't think half the words that I wanted to say, did not come out.
Nel: Again, you never thought how they would feel, whilst sitting in the public?
OP: I did, I think it was very difficult for them to sit and look at the person that took their daughters' life.
Nel: You were not humble enough to do it in private. So why did you do it?
OP: My lady, my counsel have been in contact with them and they were not ready.
Nel: And then you do it while the whole world is watching?
OP: I am not sure it was appropriate, my lady. I hope to one day the opportunity to one day meet Reeva's parents. I don't think they want to meet me.
Nel: Page 1358, my lady, from lines 18.
Nel: Its starts with "I would like to start with an apology, I wake up every morning and you are the first people I think about. I pray about you every day"
Nel: There is no "Sorry, I killed her", you are not sorry that you killed their daughter.
OP: I am terribly sorry that I took the life of their daughter.
Nel: You've been through the "whatsapp" messages with your counsel, but I want to take you through them.
Nel: My lady, could you open that at the bottom of the corner. You've been through it with your evidence in chief, 27 January.
Nel: I am not going to ask you to read the whole message again.
Nel: Before I go there, I have one more question about the apology. Did you not write it down?
Nel: What was going on there in the message?
OP: She was talking about what was going on in our relationship.
Nel: Or it was all about you? So, that's not what happened the previous day. What is that about?
Nel: "Picked on my" means you picked on her over days. What does that mean?
