Nel: You got off the bed on what side?
OP: I got out of the bed on the left hand side.
Nel: So, you will now tell the court as a fact, Reeva was under the duvet, the bottom part of her legs?
OP: I could see her legs going up, from what I can remember.
Nel: You are adapting your version.
OP: I am not, my lady. I wasn't rubbing my face until I got out of bed.
Nel: When you woke up did you see Reeva?
Nel :What side of the bed was Reeva?
OP: She was on the right side of the bed, my lady.
Nel: When you got up, we have Reeva's legs on the right hand side of the bed. You walked past her and you didn't see her get off the bed?
OP: I didn't see her getting off the bed, my lady.
Nel: It is impossible for you to know?
OP: I don't know when she got out of the bed.
Nel: She got out of the right side of the bed?
OP: If she did, I might not have seen her.
Nel: As far as you are concerned the duvet was on the bed?
OP: That is correct, my lady.
Nel: You saw the duvet on the bed when you got up and you saw at the same time that her legs were covered by the duvet.
OP: I moved it on the bed.
Nel: You moved it onto the bed?
Nel: When you put your prosthetic legs on, you saw the duvet?
OP: No, my lady. I might have moved it in the middle of the bed.
Nel: What else is wrong there?
OP: The fan couldn't have possibily have been there, it would have blocked me from getting to the door to call for help.
Nel: Right, you never closed the curtains in the first instance. Now we have to look for a policemen that moved the fan and back and moved the curtains and back. What else?
OP: I agree. My watches that were stolen.
Nel: Somebody did those three things, the fan, the curtains and the duvet. It was never put to Van Rensburg or Van Staden, They didn't to that?
OP: I am not sure, my lady.
Nel: In doing that, they make your defence difficult?
OP: I don't agree, my lady.
Nel: Interesting you are arguing again. Just focus on the questions. A policemen must have been clever enough to move the fan just back into the door.
OP: I wouldn't say that my lady. There were many things that were moved here, the fan is just one of them.
Nel: It was never moved. That door was never opened. The door was open, the fan was there and the duvet was there while you were having an arguement.
Roux: I object. IT was never said that they had an argument.
Nel: I say that she screamed while she was running away, my lady. It is evidence. It is my case.
Roux: The screaming, I understand. It is the argument, which evidence is there for that.
Judge: Are you saying that you object to the argument.
Roux: Yes, my lady. Where is the evidence regarding the argument.
Nel: Counsel would know how I get to my case. The only reasonable answer is that the deceased ran from that door to the bathroom and that door was never closed.
OP: It is not true, my lady,
Nel: On your version that fan cannot have been in that position as we see it?
OP: Yes, and the curtains and the duvet, my lady.
Nel: What else? I am going to help you. What about the watch?
