Nel: You have just spoken to her, you whispered to her. So why would you now shout to her?
OP: I was in a safe place, I knew that they were in close proximity of me and that she would be safe, that is why I screamed for Reeva to call the police.
Nel: It doesn't make sense, when you are walking down the passage you are in grave danger, yet you are screaming.
OP: We spoke at great lengths about this, I didn't scream before because then Reeva could be in danger.
Nel: How can you be less scared walking towards the danger then staying in the room.
OP: I was terrified, I shouted to Reeva, hoping that they would leave before I would have to come into confrantation.
Nel: Obviously Reeva never responded?
OP: That is correct, my lady.
Nel: Were you waiting for an answer?
Nel: So, you are walking down the passage way, holding the firearm?
OP: That is correct, my lady.
Nel: You've got your gun in your right hand, your arm is bent, in front of your chest.
OP: I never said it was in front of me. It would then have been pointing at the cupboards in the passage way.
Nel: Can you remember where you had to go?
Nel: At 90 degrees angle pointing in front of you?
OP: I don't know at what angle, my lady. Changing all the time. If I went around the corner, then I held the gun closer to me.
Nel: Let's carry on, you have screamed to Reeva and to the intruders to get out.
OP: Yes, I walked further down the cupboards, as much as I could. I moved forward until the carpet met the tiles.
Nel: At that point you could see, the light coming in?
OP: There was no light, there was just enough light to see the shape of the bathtub and basin. As I came around the corner form the closet,
OP: I peered into the bathroom, my eyes were looking down to see if there was anyone in the toilet waiting to ambush me.
OP: I moved backwards to the wall on my right, I stayed there and started screaming again.
Nel: Something very important that happened that you forgot?
OP: But that was in the passage.
Nel: All I said was "and what next".
OP: My lady, we went through that this morning, that I heard the door slammed.
Nel: I am willing to listen to the record and showme that I am wrong?
OP: I remember saying this morning, that I heard the door slam.
Nel: It is important and I want to hear what you said this morning.
Roux: My lady, I am reminded from the back, perhaps we can take a listen.
Judge: We can do it during lunch time.
Nel: That is one aspect , the other is that you shouted at Reeva and the intruders. Then you moved into a specific spot and waited.
OP: That is not what I said, I never moved into a specific spot.
Nel: Did you shout at Reeva before or after the door shut?
OP: My lady, Mr. Nel asked me about the door slamming or me shouting. Can he repoeat the questions to me, please.
Nel: Did you hear the toilet door slam shut before or after you screamed at Reeva?
OP: In the process of me shouting to the intruders to get out of the house, after I screamed at Reeva.
Nel: So. whilst you were shouting and screaming, you heard the door shut.
Nel: So why are we only hearing this version now. What did you hear about the door?
OP: I heard the door slammed, my lady.
