Nel: You were convinced that it was the toilet door?
OP: There is only one door inside the bathroom, that is correct, my lady.
OP: I thought that somebody had either gone into the toilet or had come out and slammed the door, my lady.
Nel: And, in the bathroom, when you got in the bathroom. You saw that the window was open and the toilet door was closed?
OP: That is correct, my lady.
Nel: This noise of the door slamming is a significant part of your version?
Nel: But it was not in your bail application.
OP: I did mention it to my legal team, I do not know why it is not in my bail application.
Nel: It is also not in your plea?
OP: I am aware of that my lady.
Nel: But why not, it is such a crucial part of your version.
OP: I am not sure, my lady.
Nel: I put it to you. it is because you never said it to your team.
OP: That is not right, my lady.
Nel: Why did you think there were people in the toilet?
OP: A possibility because I heard the door slam.
Nel: That brings me to your bail affividavit.
Nel: My lady, it is in the record, D, page 65.
Nel: Now at page 65, you have it in front of you. Line 6 "pitch dark in the bedroom and Reeva was in bed...."
Nel: Giving a reason in your bail application. But why did you think they were there and you answered because the door slammed shut.
OP: There is many things that I told my counsel before and they did not put it in here.
Nel: I put it to you that you are changing your version.
Nel: Yous aid the window was open?
Nel: What else did you notice?
OP: The toilet door was closed, nobody in the bathroom. I had many thoughts going through my mind. I was scared that somebody was going to come out and attack me.
OP: I was thinking about the worse possibilities that could happen. Then I heard a noise coming from the toilet.
Nel: Wait, it sounded like opening, I heard a wood movement.
OP: My lady, the frame is a hand made frame, When you pull the door closed, the frame would make like a clicking noise.
OP: I fired before it opened.
Nel: So you never saw the door or the handle move before you fired?
Nel: What position did you hold the gun?
OP: The gun was in my right hand, bent not extended. Pointing towards the door. I wasn't aiming at the door.
OP: The firearm was up, but I was not extending my arm.
Nel: If I just listen to your answer now, you weren't aiming?
OP: I was aiming at the door.
Nel: There is a big difference between aim or point. Did you aim at the door or point?
